Sleep Position

Back Sleepers

MATTRESS HELP: Sleeping on the back provides enormous pressure reduction and an elongating effect on the body. Often times it is known as the healthiest sleep position. In most cases, middle to firm mattresses are suitable.

Side Sleepers

MATTRESS HELP: Sleeping lateral is a relaxing position and often times described as back-friendly. The most pressure is found in the shoulders, thighs, or hips area. Therefore, typically a soft or middle mattress is perferable.

Stomach Sleepers

MATTRESS HELP: Sleeping on the stomach should be closely monitored. This position must be observed to prevent a curvage of the spine. Often times the position is appealing when the mattress has become too uncomfortable. Here are two variants for stomach sleepers:

Variant 1: Continue the abdominal position. Avoid a curved spine by using a flat pillow or no pillow, and a firm mattress.

Variant 2: Change the sleeping position. Try the most comfortable position lateral or back, along with the correct pillow height. Every sleep position should maintain soft shoulders and stable pelvis and waist.

Posture

Flat Back

MATTRESS HELP: In the case of a flat back, avoid too much support in the lumber spine area (lower back) by not using a layered mattress. The firmness selection does not depend on the overall body weight, but rather to the muscle feel. A middle mattress is recommended for my flat backs.

Round Back

MATTRESS HELP: The approximate roundness of the back is important for the height and firmness of the mattress. With an increase in roundness, a soft mattress is recommended. In addition, a close moderation of the pillow filling is recommended, to avoid added pressure.

Curved Back

MATTRESS HELP: The approximate curve of the back is important for firmness of the mattress, to avoid further curve depth. The contact of the mattress with the curved back is crucial, often a soft mattress will support most.

Body Temperature

Warm Sleeper

DUVET HELP: Synthetic. These comforters are popular for hygienic fans and light sleepers. Often found quieter and filled with fiber material. Quality synthetic duvets are based on elasticity, fiber material, the shape of the fiber, and the equipment used for production. As a plus, it is washer friendly!

Cold Sleeper

DUVET HELP: Feather and Down. These comforters are popular for cold cuddlers, because the fillings are light and absorb a lot of moisture. The mixing ration between feathers and down determines the overall weight, volume, elasticity life, heat retention, moisture absorption and quality.

Sweaty Sleeper

DUVET HELP: Wool, Cashmere or Camel Hair. These comforters are ideal for heavy sweating sleepers because the natural hair can absorb approximately 40% of moisture without feeling damp. The correct heat retention should of course, be taken into consideration.

Body Length

Average

SLEEP POSITION HELP: The average body length needs to consider the legs and back position. These affect the support and overall sleep sensation in the pelvis and lumbar spine region (lower back).

Long

SLEEP POSITION HELP: The longer body length needs to consider the complete sleep position and mattress length. A healthy sleep position is recommended that supports directly the lumbar spine (lower back) and shoulders.

Small

SLEEP POSITION HELP: The smaller body length needs to pay close attention to the sleep position. A position that feels good and has less definite lumbar spine (lower back) support is often found more comfortable.

Body Figure

MATTRESS HELP: A TYPE A pear-shaped figure, is usually found with wider hips and a small waist. Since the hips and pelvic area are more defined and need a high amount of support, it is recommended to use a soft mattress in coordination with the body weight.

MATTRESS HELP: I TYPE A slender figure, is usually found with light shoulders and even weight distribution. Often a soft, plush mattress is found most comfortable with a lean figure.

MATTRESS HELP: O TYPE A voluminous figure, is usually the middle of the body holds a stable center of gravity and other areas tend to have a round shape. A strong support should be found in each main pressure point; therefore, a firm mattress is often seen as more desirable.

MATTRESS HELP: V TYPE An athletic figure, usually consists of wider shoulders and a stable pelvis. The shoulders and pelvis area require a high demand for support; therefore, a middle to firm mattress is recommended.

MATTRESS HELP: X TYPE A strong pelvic figure, usually the shoulders and pelvic are remotely the same proportions and a defined waist. The shoulders and pelvic area need a consistent amount of support from the mattress. Often a middle to soft mattress is found most comfortable.
